Top 10 things I’ve learned this year

December 31st, 2007 by admin

Many of these things are because of the winning CR offense:

10: Bluffing a king-high flop (this is from 2+2 magazine).
9: Isolation raising an early limper preflop (say, to $2.50 in a NL.25/.50 game).
8: Raising a small blind limper preflop in a heads-up game.
7: 3-betting air a check-raiser who appears to be making a flop move on you.
6: 3-betting with AQ preflop in a six-max game.
5: Open-raising with playable hands in a six-max game.
4: Taylor Caby’s phrase, “That’s a cooler” (and not going on tilt from a bad beat).
3: Knowing at what point I’m committed to a hand (or not).
2: Value betting the river when it is checked to me despite a scare card.
1: Taylor Caby’s phrase, “I’m going to play this hand for stacks.”
