Norway wants rid of internet gambling

October 30th, 2007 by admin

Showing similarities to American UIGEA, Norway is fronting a Scandinavian bid to ban gambling online.

The Minister for Culture and Church Affairs has prepared a draft which prevents major payment methods from being credited to internet gaming accounts.

Norway takes the toughest approach to gambling, though Sweden rules poker as illegal and has a negative attitude towards online poker rooms. The Norwegian ban is hoped to be in place by spring 2008.
