WSOPE H.O.R.S.E Stars a New Era
PokerNews is on the World Series of Poker beat once again, but this time it isn't from the Rio Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas, but rather across the pond in London to cover the World Series of Poker Europe. Today marks day two of the 2,500 English Pound (about $5,000 American Dollars) H.O.R.S.E. tourney which 51 runners out of the starting 105 are still vying for the inaugural bracelet.
According to Pauly at Tao of Poker the follow well-known players have toss their proverbial Bowler hats into the ring:
On Wednesday, I spotted a slew of pros such as Kirk Morrison, Hoyt Corkins, Max Pescatori, Jen Harman, Marco Traniello, Jesus, Andy Bloch, Robert Williamson III, Gobboboy, ActionJeff, and Todd Brunson. I crashed the players party at the Empire Casino as they were about to start a charity event for Ante Up for Africa. I hung out for a little bit before bailing.
The WSOPE is a bit smaller then the its big brother as there's only three events (PLO and a 10,000 Pound No Limit Hold Em' Main Event) but with the talent that has traveled abroad to play in the event there will be no shortage of talent.
As with the WSOP, live blogging is being provided by the positively pokerific team at PokerNews.com, be sure follow the link over for up to date chip counts and bios on the players still slinging chips in the tourney.
